This product that I’ve invented is so exciting to me because it does so much! The “TurboBaster” replaces three kitchen tools! It will siphon the juices, marinade and baste juices onto foods, like hot butter on veggies. The “TurboBaster comes apart, so it’s easy to clean. I came up with this idea when I was preparing Thanksgiving dinner one year and I was using a traditional “bulb baster” and was getting frustrated because it’s so inefficient. It really doesn’t hold any of the juices and it does a poor job at basting. Then I thought, “there’s got to be a better way” so I starting thinking what I would want in a baster, and started sketching what I would want it to look like and what I type of functions and features I would want.

I consulted with Steve Schneider from the Sawyer Center in Santa Rosa in California with my idea. Steve guides new inventors and he’s been instrumental in my journey. I hired a Patent Attorney in San Francisco and an engineer to create a C.A.D.

I’ve been on “Eye on the Bay” with Brian Hackney as the host, and most recently, I was on ABC’s Shark Tank, Season 1 episode 3. Although it was an exciting experience, I've decided to take the TurboBaster in another direction. To read articles related to my experience on Shark Tank click, on the posted links.
